EMI O'BROCHTA

Emi O’Brochta (she/her) is a sculptor and poet from Chicago. She earned her BFA in Sculpture and BA in Creative Writing from the University of Iowa and is currently based in New Orleans, where she is pursuing an MFA in Sculpture at Tulane University.

MFA role includes assisting three semester-long courses (Sculpture I & II) and independently designing and teaching two sections of Sculpture I. The program features a first-year group exhibition, a final thesis exhibition, public lecture, and a written thesis document.

Develops and teaches a foundational undergraduate sculpture course emphasizing technical proficiency, material investigation, and critical discourse.

Manages front-of-house operations and serves as a liaison between museum staff and leadership.
